Okay am I the only one that has spent 90% of her summer at the baseball field? My younger brother plays on two different teams, and my husband knows if he cant find me I’m at the field! So the 3 up 3 down baseball saying came to mind when making this post’s title.
I want to share 3 books that I’ve loved reading, and 3 books that are on my TBR (to be read) list.
3 Books I love
I’m a Hallmark nerd it’s true. I love all the movies, and recently have really got into their mystery movies. I watched the hallmark movies that were based off of this book series, and I LOVED them. I enjoyed them so much that when it was over I had to get the books, because I needed to know what happened to the characters I had fallen in love with. I am not ashamed that since picking this series up I have read 8 books out of the series! I will confess that I have listened to most of them on audio, and the audio production is fantastic!
In a nutshell what I love about this series: The recipes! The author has added recipes that you can try, and the ones that I have tried I loved! The main character is a baker so most of the book is set in the bakery a foodie like me loved that. The romance is fun and lighthearted, and I’m always up for a good mystery that isn’t too scary!
I feel like a book newbie because somehow Melanie Dickerson flew under my radar for far too long! I just recently read this book, and I thought it was fun. I really enjoyed The Bacheloretee feel in this book, who will he fall for, will he see her true colors, and all the drama that unfolds with a contest for love. I will admit that the ending felt a little rushed, but I was okay with it because this book was a nice feel good book.
In a nutshell what I liked about this book: I loved the slow burn romance and gushed over it. The Bacheloretee feels were so much fun and I ate it up! This is a good book to read after you’ve read a book with heavy content, and you just want something light and fun. I thought that the faith part of it was nicely done and made it easier for anyone to read.
I am a HUGE Lysa Terkeurst fan. I love all her books, and I truly feel like her books have really helped me on my spiritual journey. Anything Lysa writes I buy. She is an auto buy author for me. I have read this book at least 3 times, and I know I will reread it again in the future.
In a nutshell what I love about this book: This book pushes the reader to be more than a christian that wants to check off boxes on their good christian check list. Lysa challenges the reader to dig deep in having a relationship with God, to draw closer to Him, and to know him on a personal level.
3 On My TBR List
Okay I know the Christmas book in the middle of July seems weird, but am I the only one who is watching all the Christmas movies on Hallmark right now? I LOVE Hallmark’s Christmas in July!
I would love to know what you have been reading this summer. Let me know some of you favorite books so I can add them to my list. Hope ya’ll are having a great day!
